Alida’s Kitchen: Alida enjoys cooking mostly vegetarian, but occasionally works with chicken and beef. She’s a mother and a wife, and a runner like me!
Why I like this blog: I’m a seafood lover and cheese hater, Alida is the opposite. However, I enjoy her fresh approach to food, which also keeps her dishes on the healthy side. Like myself, she doesn’t mind the occasional indulgence every once in a while!
Cookaholic Wife: Nosy Nichole (self-admitted) enjoys writing, cronically her dabbles in both cooking and baking, and she’ll kick your butt in beer pong and flip cup.
Why I like this blog: Nichole writing is quite engaging; she has a way of telling a story that makes you feel like you were actually there when it happened. What I REALLY like is that she is somewhat OCD about organizaion, just like me.
Gourmet: Day to Day: Jessy started as a home cook, but quit her 9 to 5 to go to culinary school. She has a passion for great tasting food that will not take all day to make or break the bank. She is my inspiration for starting my blog.
Why I like this blog: We have a lot of similar tastes in food (she seems to like a little spice as I do, too) and everything I’ve made from this blog has been awesome!
Hezzi-D’s Books and Cooks: Heather de-stresses by cooking, baking, reading, and exercising. She has always been a baker, and has discovered her talent for decorating cakes. Once she finished college and was living on her own, she realized take out wasn’t going to cut it anymore, and added cooking to her repertoire.
Why I like this blog: Heather is self-taught cook, who has learned mostly by cookbooks and blogs, just like myself. Also, she reviews books in her blog and enjoys mysteries and thrillers.
Just Baked: Kim’s picky eaters have a sweet tooth, which lends itself nicely to her passion for baking.
Why I like this blog: I am not a baker, but I can easily follow Kim’s recipes and create something delicious. Plus, there are so many to choose from!
Prevention RD: Nicole is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. Her recipes are practical, straightforward, healthy, and delicious!
Why I like this blog: You don’t have to compromise flavor when trying to eat healthy.
Sweet Beginnings: Jaida loves everything about food. She likes to cook it, read about it, talk about it, and best of all, eat it! She loves to share food with friends, co-workers, and loved ones.
Why I like this blog: Jaida’s recipes have never disappointed. What I like best is her Taco Tuesdays!
The Way to His Heart: Maeghan shares recipes for even the pickiest of eaters and, much like myself, shows love through her food.
Why I like this blog: Most recipes are from scratch, using local, organic, sustainable ingredients.
Thug Kitchen: “Thug” drops knowledge on those who want to eat like they give a f***! Seriously, this blog is so funny, but also informative! “Thug” is not a vegan, but his girl is, and he supports that shit, so many of his posts are vegan, which provides great options! Warning, it’s a bit vulgar, but I could care less.
Why I like this blog: It keeps me laughing, but also well informed of the health benefits of many plant-based foods.
